New broadcast times for Champions League matches at the beginning of the 2018-19 season.
Since the creation of the most prestigious club tournament in football, the Champions League, the matches have been always broadcasted at 20:45 CET. However, changes will be made for the 2018-19 season.
According to the German outlet Bild, the new broadcast times will be 19:00 and 21:00 CET. The changes will be implemented in order for more matches to be shown on TV and thus more profits to be gathered from commercials and TV rights. However, the days for the Champions League games will remain Tuesday and Wednesday.
It’s a bit of change from the traditional broadcast time, but for the viewers that will mean more Champions League football!
